Kink Talk – What does GGG mean?
GGG
GGG stands for “Good, Giving and Game”, a phrase for a partner who is skilled and attentive in bed, generous with pleasure and open to trying new things.
What does GGG mean?
GGG was coined by the American sex advice columnist Dan Savage and stands for “Good, Giving and Game”. It describes a partner who is good in bed, giving equal time and pleasure, and game to try new things. The idea is that in a long relationship, nobody gets everything they want from the start. Being GGG means meeting your partner’s desires with curiosity and generosity, and expecting the same in return.
Does being GGG mean you have to do everything?
No. Savage’s own version is “game for anything, within reason”, and your limits are part of that reason. GGG is about being open and willing to try, not about saying yes to things you don’t want. A hard no stays a no. Being game might mean trying a light version of a fantasy, or doing something that matters to your partner even if it isn’t your top turn-on.
How can you be more GGG?
Start by asking what your partner enjoys, and listening without judgment. Pay attention in bed, give as much as you take, and say “let’s try it” to small new ideas more often. Share your own wishes too, since GGG works both ways. Yes, no and maybe lists make it easier to find things you’re both game for.
