Kinks & Fetishes – What does Sissification mean?
Sissification
Sissification is a feminization kink in which a man, by his own choice, is dressed and treated as an ultra-feminine “sissy”, often with submission or playful humiliation.
What does Sissification mean?
Sissification comes from “sissy”, an old English slang word derived from “sister” and long used to mock men seen as soft or unmanly. The kink community took the word and turned it into a role. It means a man is dressed and treated as an ultra-feminine “sissy” because he wants to be. Typical elements are lingerie, dresses, makeup, a feminine name and exaggerated feminine manners. For some it’s about submission and humiliation, for others it’s affirming, silly and fun.
Is sissification the same as being trans?
No. Sissification is a kink, something people choose to play with, not a gender identity. A man who enjoys it usually still sees himself as a man, and the thrill often comes from that contrast. It says nothing about trans people, whose gender is who they are, not a scene or a fantasy. If play ever brings up real questions about your identity, they’re worth exploring on their own terms.
What’s the difference between sissification and cross-dressing?
Cross-dressing simply means wearing clothes usually linked to another gender, for comfort, expression or fun. Sissification adds a role and usually a power dynamic. In sissification the clothes come with exaggerated femininity, a persona and often submission or humiliation. Forced feminization is the closely related roleplay where a dominant partner “makes” it happen, so the fantasy of being pushed into it is the main thrill.
