BDSM Roles – What does Rope Bunny mean?
Rope Bunny
A rope bunny is someone who enjoys being tied up in rope bondage, for the sensation, the helplessness, the aesthetics or the deep calm it can bring.
What does Rope Bunny mean?
Rope Bunny is affectionate slang from the rope bondage community, using “bunny” the way people say gym bunny or beach bunny for an enthusiast. A rope bunny is the one who enjoys being tied. Some love the squeeze of the rope and the feeling of being held, others the helplessness or how beautiful the ties look. Many describe a floaty, meditative state, often called rope space. A more neutral term is rope bottom.
Is being tied up safe?
It can be very safe with an attentive rigger and a few clear rules. Speak up right away if you feel numbness, tingling, sharp pain, cold or dizziness, since nerve damage can build quietly. Agree on a safe word and a signal that works with tied hands, eat beforehand and drink enough. Rope around the neck is always off limits, and safety shears should be within reach.
What should you tell your rigger before a scene?
Share any injuries, joint or circulation issues and any areas that are off limits. Say how long you think you can hold a position, whether you want it sensual or intense, and what you need afterwards. Good riggers ask, but don’t wait for them to. The clearer you are, the better the rope feels.
