Toys & Props – What are bed restraints?
Bed Restraints
Bed restraints are straps and cuffs that attach to a bed, usually with a strap system under the mattress, so you can tie a partner’s wrists and ankles for bondage.
What are bed restraints?
The name is plain English: restraints are anything that holds someone in place, and these ones are made for the bed. Bed restraints are straps and cuffs that attach to a bed, usually with a strap system under the mattress, so you can tie a partner’s wrists and ankles for bondage. Most sets have long straps that run under the mattress with a padded cuff at each corner, so they work on almost any bed, even without posts. They’re an easy first step into bondage because there are no knots to learn, and they disappear under the sheets when you’re done.
How do you set up bed restraints?
Slide the strap system under the mattress so the ends come out near the four corners, then adjust the length and clip on the cuffs. Pull the straps snug before anyone is tied, so nothing shifts mid-scene. Fasten each cuff so you can still slip a finger between cuff and skin. Leave some slack at first, since a full spread-eagle gets uncomfortable fast. Agree on limits and a safe word before you start.
Are bed restraints safe?
They’re one of the gentler ways into bondage, as long as you follow a few rules. Pick cuffs with quick-release buckles or clips, and keep safety shears within reach. Never leave someone tied up alone, not even for a minute. Check hands and feet often for numbness, tingling, cold or a change in colour, and loosen right away if anything feels off. Afterwards, make time for aftercare.
