Toys & Props – What does Feather Tickler mean?
Feather Tickler
A feather tickler is a toy made of soft feathers on a handle, used for light, teasing touches that make the skin tingle and build anticipation.
What does Feather Tickler mean?
Feather tickler is a plain English name: a tickler made of feathers. It’s a bundle of soft feathers, often ostrich or marabou, on a short handle, used for light, teasing strokes across the skin. It’s one of the gentlest toys in sensation play and a classic in beginner kits. Paired with a blindfold, every touch becomes a surprise, and the soft tickle can make the next firmer touch feel much stronger.
How do you use a feather tickler?
Move it slowly and lightly across sensitive areas like the neck, the inner arms, the backs of the knees, the stomach and the inner thighs. Vary speed and pattern so your partner can’t predict where it goes next. Alternate it with contrasts, like fingernails, your breath or a cool hand. If your partner is very ticklish, slow down, since a slower stroke tends to tingle rather than tickle.
How do you clean a feather tickler?
Feathers can’t be washed like silicone, so keep the tickler away from bodily fluids and lube. Shake it out after use and store it dry in a bag or box so the feathers stay fluffy. If it gets dirty, gently hand-wash the feathers with a little mild shampoo in lukewarm water and let it air dry completely. Since feathers can’t be properly sanitized, use it only on the outside of the body and don’t share it between different partners.
