Kink Talk – What does Testicles mean?
Testicles
The testicles are the two oval glands inside the scrotum that produce sperm and the hormone testosterone, and they are very sensitive to touch and pressure.
What does Testicles mean?
Testicle comes from the Latin “testiculus”, a small form of “testis”. The testicles are the two glands that make sperm and the hormone testosterone. They hang in the scrotum, a pouch of skin below the penis. The scrotum works like a thermostat. Sperm production needs a temperature a few degrees below the rest of the body, so the scrotum hangs lower when it’s warm and pulls up tight when it’s cold. It’s normal for one testicle, often the left, to hang lower than the other.
How do you touch testicles so it feels good?
Gently. Many people enjoy cupping, light stroking, a soft tug on the scrotum, licking or kissing, especially combined with other touch. Squeezing or a knock hurts fast, and the pain can spread into the belly. Start soft, ask how much pressure is okay and let your partner guide you. Harder play like ball busting belongs only in clearly negotiated kink.
How do you check your testicles, and when is it an emergency?
Once a month, ideally after a warm shower, roll each testicle gently between thumb and fingers. A soft, tube-like structure at the back is normal, that’s the epididymis. Hard lumps, swelling or a change in size are worth getting checked by a urologist. Sudden, severe pain in one testicle, often with swelling or nausea, is an emergency. It can be testicular torsion, a twisted testicle that needs treatment within hours, so go to the emergency room right away.
