Toys & Props – What does Spider Gag mean?
Spider Gag
A spider gag is a ring gag with metal hooks or prongs around the ring that keep the mouth wide open and stop the wearer from turning the ring sideways.
What does Spider Gag mean?
The spider gag gets its name from the curved metal hooks around its ring, which look a bit like spider legs. It’s a variant of the ring gag: the ring sits behind the teeth, a strap goes around the head, and the hooks rest against the lips and cheeks. With a plain ring gag, the wearer can sometimes twist the ring sideways and close the mouth a little. The hooks prevent that, so the mouth stays wide open. People use it for the drooling, exposed look that fits humiliation play, or for oral access, which always needs to be agreed in advance.
How do you use a spider gag safely?
Keep sessions short, a few minutes at first, because a wide-open mouth strains the jaw fast. Skip it if you have jaw problems. Agree on a non-verbal safe signal, since talking is impossible, and never leave the wearer alone. Swallowing is hard, so let drool run and keep the head upright or tilted forward instead of lying flat on the back. The nose must stay free at all times. Check that the hooks don’t pinch lips or gums, and stop at once if breathing feels hard or the wearer feels sick.
How do you clean a spider gag?
Wash it after every use with warm water and mild soap, especially the hooks and the spot where ring and strap meet, where saliva collects. Metal parts can also be disinfected, leather straps should only be wiped and left to dry. Check it regularly for rough edges, rust or worn straps. A damaged gag belongs in the bin, not in a mouth.
