Kink Talk – What does Penis Size mean?
Penis Size
Penis size is the length and girth of a penis, with an erect average of about 13 cm long and 11.7 cm around, and it matters far less for good sex than most people think.
What does Penis Size mean?
Penis size means how long and how thick a penis is. Length is usually measured along the top, from the base at the belly to the tip, and girth around the middle of the shaft. Flaccid size says little about erect size, since some penises grow a lot and others less. Size is one of the most common worries around sex, mostly because people compare themselves to porn, which shows a very unusual selection of bodies.
What is the average penis size?
A large 2015 review in the journal BJU International, pooling measurements from more than 15,000 men, found an average erect length of about 13 cm and an average erect girth of about 11.7 cm. Most people guess higher, and most men are close to these averages. If you’re in the normal range, which almost everyone is, there’s nothing to fix.
Does penis size matter?
Much less than men tend to think. In surveys, most partners say they are happy with their partner’s size, while many men are unhappy with their own. Technique, attention, foreplay and good communication count far more. Fit can matter for comfort. A larger penis needs more warm-up, lube and positions that control depth, a smaller one works well in positions with lots of closeness, plus hands, mouths and toys. Enlargement pills and creams don’t work, so talk to a urologist before trying anything.
